A Smashing new online advertisment initiative from Google.
Click to Call
When ever you search for anything on google, you come up with ads on your left, from now you would find some ads with a Green Phone Icon. Clicking on it would make you enter your phone number and you would be receiving a call from the advertiser. I am sure this would boost the power of google’s online advertisement services.

It seems I cannot stop listening to this track… its bacome a part of my life. From last couple of months I’ve been hooked on to it. If you are curious what is so special with this track… here is what some bloggers have to say on it
“This one song, is the song thats closest to my heart for a lot of reasons… i remember i had gone for one of his shows, and when he sang this on stage, i almost died of joy, i mean its somehting to listen to this on a recorded version and to listen to him live… its the best ever!! the video for this song cudnt have been done any better, Credits to Mani Rathnam for that. The lyrics are out of the world, but this song, i feel has been sung with a lot of emotion. You can feel it. The first time i heard it , i had goose bumps. I couldnt believe that Rahman, had come up with such a slow number for himself. He wasnt into slow songs as yet then, so i kept re listening to this song over and over again… and it made its mark!! I cant write a review for it, cause, i dont deserve to….”
this is what Anupama has to say about this one:
Vellai Pookal (Kannathil Muthamittal)
- My eyes grow misty everytime, and that’s rare! ARR, I bow to thee!
gayathri says this…
“Kuzhanthai vizhikattumae
thaayin katha kathappil
Ulagam vidiyattumae
pillayin sirumugha sirippil
There’s a perfect world for you – a world where every child is secure in his mother’s arms, listening to a lullaby, and a world that wakes up everyday to the sound of children’s laughter.
This gem from Kannathil Muthamittal has been on and off my playlist over the last three years, but today, I can’t seem to stop humming it. And while I still don’t understand all the words, the ones I do leave me deeply moved. There can hardly be a better example for the equation of poetry with beauty.”

Apple came out with the new Completley Remastered iPod nano version. Great new colors, and some 24 hours of battery power, 40% more bright display. They have come out with an aluminium case this time, hope it helps preventing scratches (which the old nano was prone to!). Its got some 8GB of space too. I wish i could have waited for this one:

141 not out!!! What a return! Lets welcome the magician with a magic bat on board again!
Its the 100th time i am listening to this track since i downloaded it on my iPod. What a song! This one undoubtedly makes in to the top of all tracks composed by rahman. Its what one of bloggers got to say about this track :
” i listened to a couple of tracks from the movie. they seemed to be good. then started playing a track – ‘New York nagaram urangum neram…’.
Golly! What a song!when you listen to it, it feels like the song was actually composed & written by a person on a snowy new york night sitting alone in some condo of a skyscraper….
anyone who has witnessed such a night in the Big Apple from a high rise can relate to it.
and i bet it’d prove to be extremely harmful if someone listens to this track sitting alone in such an atmosphere… yes, never attempt to do that!
the tune, the city, the night, the snow, the rivershore, the wind, the glass walls, the solitude, her memories, the cold outside, the heat inside…
the music, the lyrics, the voices…
pure class.
haunting.”
and for those unfortunate souls like me who don’t understand Tamil… here goes the translation : )
New York nagaram urangum neram, thanimai adarndadhu..
In the moment when NewYork city went to sleep, loneliness caught me..
Paniyum padarndadhu..
And snow spread all over..
Kappal erangiye kaatrum karaiyil nadandadhu..
(It was so lonely that) Even the breeze got down from the ship and started walking on shores!
Naangu kannadi chuvargalukulle naanum mezhuguvathiyum..
Inside the four glass walls, me and a candlelight
Thanimai thanimaiyo.. Kodumai kodumaiyo..
How lonely… how trecherous…
Stanza 1
Paechelaam thalaatu pola ennai uranga veikka nee illai
Oh beloved, you are not here to put me to sleep with the lullaby talk of yours
Nilavin oliyin mutham thandhu kaalai coffee kudukka nee illai
You are not here to kiss me in moonlight and give me coffee in the morning
Vizhiyil vizhum dhoosi thannai naaval edukka nee ingu illai
You are not here to blow my eyes when dirt falls into my eyes
Manadhil ezhum kuzhapam thannai theerka nee inge illai..
You are not here to clear the confusions of my heart
Naan inge neeyum ange, indha thanimaiyil nimishangal varusham aanadheno?
I’m here & you are there, In this loneliness, minutes have become years!
Vaan inge neelam ange, indha oovamaiku eruvarum vilakam aanadheno?
The sky is here & the color blue is there, Why did we become an example to that simile?!
Stanza 2
Naatkurippil nooru thadavai undhan peyarai ezhudhum en pena
My pen wrote your name 100 times in my daily planner
Ezhudhiyadhum erumbu moikka peyarum aanadhena thenaa?
Just as I wrote, ants came from all over, did your name turn into honey?
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh..
Jil endru bhoomi irundhum, indha tharunathil kulir kaalam kodai aanadheno?
Even in this chill weather why is this winter season like hot summer to me?
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh..
Vaa anbe neeyum vandhal senthanal kuda panikatti pole marumae..
Oh beloved, come to me.. if you are here even a burning charcoal will become a snowball !
Yeh yeh yeh yeh yeh yeh yeh…
and thanks to Vijay for the translation.
and i miss someone when i listen to this song… hope that someone knows… when she reads this!
