Though I had mentioned about this in my previous blog… was listening to this track by Rahman from Alaipayuthe / Saathiya… Just thought of writing down the meaning of this.

meaning …
This is a sacred thread. This is essential for my long life.
I tie this around your neck, O maiden having many auspicious attributes!
May you live happily for a hundred years
A great thought in which even I agree and I would follow.. but still confused about marriage
!

*chuckle* same here. Seem to find more and more reasons not to get married! Maybe you need to find someone who makes you *want* to get married. When you close your eyes and think you should be able to see you and her living together, being together and well getting married to each other! All the best! Hope you find her!
advisory says : I absolutely agree with this !
the lines that you have put up there, are not a song from a movie, but the mantras used in Hindu Marriage rituals.
@ justso… i know that sir, but i guess the song is more hit than the rituals are
.. LOL!
I am not totally agreeing with the idea of not feeling to get married… i have had the same thought till i found someone whom i thought will be perfect for the entire of my life and i actually wanted to do what is listed in that mantra…
I now failed to do it with her .. but for all people who say they dont want to marry, u will rethink when u get close to someone who has something which u like to have but do not have ….
anyway … nice postings …
[b]aadhi duniya marriage karne k liye paagal … baaki aadhi duniya marriage karne k baad pagal … lolzzz
